Update to an earlier post... I mentioned earlier that I wanted to start a Family Foundation where we can have funds available for family members who would like to go back to school or start a business. I want to add another level.. Bill Assistance. Instead of going to a bank, the foundation will have funds available, that way, you can borrow the money form the Family Foundation to pay your bill. Borrowing the money from the Foundation, will not affect your credit rating, (the Foundation will not be able to at this time assist in helping to clean up credit. (Future idea) but it will be able to help pay bills . Right now, nothing is set. (Trying to work out the kinks) but the plan is to have at least the structure of Foundation established by the time we meet next year. Everyone in the family whether you are bloodline or an inlaw, you qualify. No credit check. Your bloodline or marriage, is your credit. Also, this extends to step and adopted family members. Even if you are a distant relative, you can still qualify for one of the programs. This is an idea, let me know how everyone feels about the new addition. There of course will be limitations, on the amount that can be withdrawn within a 12 month cycle. This is a very serious endeavor. That I pray really takes off. Therefore, I will be working on the choosing a board of directors at our reunion next year... This is our Foundation, so dont be afraid to join. If you have an established business or prior business experience, please meet me after the reunion. Or, if you have a desire to be part of this, you are welcome to stay for some tea and cookies as I present the ideas.
