Update to post about the robotics hardware competition at the IEEE SouthEastCon2014, to include video: We are excited to announce the results of our robotics hardware competition that took place as part of IEEE SouthEastCon 2014 in Lexington, KY from March 13-16. For the second year in a row, our graduate team achieved 1st place in the open competition!! Our undergraduate team was able to overcome some hardware difficulties to place 15th in the university competition. There were a total of 47 teams participating in this competition in both categories from various universities in the southeast region. In this video, the robot is supposed to operate autonomously on a simulated basketball court. It must follow white lines on a black surface playing field with randomly positioned 3 blue shooting blocks and then fire a dart while positioned on top of each of the shooting blocks through a red target 4-6 ft away.
