Update to the Lamont Farm Project appeal... Thanks to the generosity of everyone who has donated to our CCTV equipment appeal, we have raised £317 in only a few days. Once again we are really grateful to you for getting behind us in our hour of need. Your support means so much to all the humans and animals at Lamont Farm Project. We are also very pleased to report that we have had an offer of assistance from Stephen McDermott who owns Network Scotland, a security equipment and associated services company based in Renfrew (networkscotland/). Stephen has very kindly offered to supply and install some of our cameras for us at no charge. We are meeting with him later in the week to discuss details of this. We don’t know what we might still need to pay for, but we do know that we’ll require a much more modern desktop computer than the one we have a present to allow us operate any new system. Our current desktop PC is well over 10 years old. It has been on its knees for a very long time. Ive been volunteering in the Office for 4 years and it was prehistoric when I arrived. We would dearly love to upgrade it so, in light of the offer we’ve received from Stephen, we would like your permission to put any excess donations made to this appeal towards buying a refurbished desktop PC instead. If you are unhappy with our proposal, we fully understand if you wish us to return your donation. If that is the case, then please get in touch with us as soon as possible to arrange this. Thanks again. Lamont Farm
