Update to the county meeting. First, thank you to everyone who came to support the project, was so good to have all you there with us. Looks like they are going to ask for one million for us in the fall budget, which will be deliberated in December by the next council. That leaves us far short of our 6.64 million needed to complete the project but we are optimistic that this is a great start and can now begin phase two of this project; fundraising. Phase one was to gather information; develop building plans, the construction budget, and operating budget. Phase one COMPLETE! After harvest our group, the La Glace Arena Revitalization Committee will be posting to you, the community, to join us for the next phase: finding money to put toward this project through searching for grants, fundraising events, and maybe you know someone who knows someone in a corporation that would love to help sponsor this project.
