Update: we are home and Abby is doing great. While there can be lots of things to complain about being in the hospital for 7 days, we are blessed to have a place to take our daughter where we receive the best care possible!!! Childrens hospital is the most wonderful place and the doctors, nurses, CAs and other hospital staff are truly amazing!!!! Abby has her ups and downs throughout the day but continues to amaze us with her strength! Abbys counts are still very low and she is still very susceptible to infection, bruising, bleeding and her counts are expected to fall a little more but since she was doing so great in the hospital the doctors felt good letting her go home and coming back on Thursday for a lab check and possible blood and platelets. If Abby spikes another fever or has bruising or nose bleeds we will have to go back to the hospital sooner. Abby is not due for any chemo for 2 WEEKS!!!! This will give her body time to recover!!! This phase of Abbys treatment is the hardest one she has had so far but she continues to push through with a smile on her face and #AbbyStrong Abby has orders for a 24 hour urine test we will do at home and then we have a follow up appt with her urologist in a month from when she completes the test. This test will tell us more about her kidney stones and give the doc a better idea of what they are made of and is this from a form of kidney disease or just from meds she is taking. Abby is playing as we speak with some of the toys that were sent to her:) thank you for continuing to pray and believe that God truly has this and she will continue to get stronger each day! Also, thank you for every card, package, birthday wish, word of encouragement and most importantly EVERY prayer! Lots of love, mom
