Update: well...not much in terms of news. We are staying another night. Hopefully getting discharged tomorrow. Final stool culture should be done by early morning. Abby is doing well. But then again she never felt sick. Diarrhea, which she still has, was/is her only symptom. She has been a trooper through all of this. Because they believe this to be a bacterial infection (likely a strand of ecoli), she is in isolation. So since Saturday this amazing little girl has gotten stuck multiple times (between her IV and blood draws), has been quarantined into this room and hardly complains at all! She misses her brother and home terribly though. This afternoon they had to draw blood again. That did not go well. I was at work and Nick texted me that I needed to come over right away cause she was hysterical and would not let them draw blood. Long story short I ended drawing her labs myself! Honestly I think she did better for me than she would have for the phlebotomist. Im dreading tomorrows blood work already! That is it for now. Off to bed I go! Thank you all for the messages, texts, prayers and thoughts! Abby loves hearing about it all and we appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts.
