Updated Article on the Dogs that were Rescued from the broke down mini van transport in Ohio, the dogs were being transported from an Amish Puppy Mill: Rescued Indiana dogs recovering at shelter: HEATH, Ohio – Eddie the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel lay curled in a ball at the back of his kennel. When Volunteers tried to pet Eddie, he would just stare straight ahead. Eddie was one of 61 dogs rescued Saturday from a minivan parked at a Hebron motel. He was discovered crammed in a crate with a Labrador, a rottweiler and another large dog. While local officials care for the dogs, they also are preparing to submit findings to the Licking County prosecutor for possible action against the Indiana breeder who was having the dogs transported in the minivan. The dogs were found jammed into a minivan, from floor to ceiling, when county humane agent Paula Evans arrived at the motel Saturday. Ive been doing this for 15 years. Of everything Ive done as a humane agent and in animal rescue, nothing has affected me like this, Evans said. These animals dont deserve it. These are where the dogs that are sold in High End Pet Stores come from and the conditions they suffer through! Please always Adopt, Dont Shop and Dont support Puppy Mills!
