Updated report on Kidnapping and murder incident in Catanduanes.. Suspect in Kidnapping Nabbed in Virac,Catanduanes Camp Francisco Camacho, Virac, Catanduanes- On September 15, 2014 at about 7:30 PM, Vicente Agripa, 46 years old, married and a resident of Brgy. Gogon Sirangan, Virac, Catanduanes reported to Virac PNP that his son, Sear Andrie Agripa, 8 years old failed to return from school. Later, it was found out that an unidentified malefactor fetched his son at Virac Pilot Elementary School. Investigation revealed that the alleged kidnapper was seen by the relatives of the victim staying at Danicop Monteverde Lodging Inn. Upon receipt of said info, personnel of Virac MPS together with the victim’s father proceeded to the aforesaid Inn to verify the veracity of the report wherein the receptionist positively identified the suspect who at that time went out with the victim on board motorcycle. At about 11:00 PM, September 15, 2014, the suspect returned without the victim It was at this instance that the intelligence operatives of Virac MPS proceeded to the said Inn and arrested Cecilio Paredes y Reantorco, 41, years old, married, salesman, and a resident of Pawa, Legazpi City who was thereafter apprised of his constitutional rights and was submitted for medical examination at Eastern of Bicol Medical Center (EBMC). On September 16, 2014 at about 5:00 PM the suspect revealed before Atty. Florante L. Belleza Jr., PAO Lawyer that the victim can be found at Brgy. San Isidro Village, Virac, Catanduanes. Immediately, Virac MPS led by PSI CONNIE S DE LEON, Officer-In-Charge together with Catanduanes Provincial Public Safety Company personnel proceeded to the said place and found the cadaver of kidnap victim Sear Andrei Agripa at the grassy portion beside the road at the aforesaid barangay. The Provincial Crime Laboratory Office conducted SOCO. Thereafter, the cadaver of the victim was brought to EBMC for post mortem examination conducted by Dr. Arlyn Arcilla, Virac Municipal Rural Health Officer pending the cause of death of the victim which is yet to be determined by the said physician. Thereafter, the victim’s cadaver was turned-over to his family. A case of Kidnapping for Ransom with Murder was filed against the suspect before the Provincial Prosecution Office through Inquest Proceedings docketed under NPS Nr.V-II-INQ-141-00084. Suspect is currently detained at Virac MPS prior to his commitment to BJMP.
