Updates from U of M visit...I its never a good thing when specialists come running in during a pulmonary function test. My Collin failed all respiratory tests miserably. The question was whether they were going to admit him. No they decided not to right now. High steroids began again and oral chemo to continue. IV chemo to begin again in 2 weeks when his team decides which chemo to use this time. The IV chemo he received in Feb and March was to work for 9 months to a year. His tests show that his disease is aggressively attacking his lungs right now. Unfortunately, the chemo did not do all it needed to do! Any worsening of symptoms will get Collin a direct admit to Mott, in the meantime we keep watching him like a hawk and hope the oral chemo and steroids do a good job. Its not a matter of if he gets more IV chemo its when and what type? Wegeners is tricky and therapies work differently on each Wegeners patient. Collin is staying home from school again and resting. Thank you for the prayers and support. I miss you all...what a crappy year! My poor boy...
