Updates on little Michael ... PLEASE continue to pray! Update 1: infectious disease is running all kinds of tests to see if they can identify the infection or virus M has. Neurology said the EEG is not showing anymore seizures however the left side of his brain is not as active. They think his seizures were focal in the left side and it is going to take some time for his brain to heal. He is tentatively optimistic about no long term damage but we will hopefully know more when they can do an MRI. He needs to be a little more stable before they will take him to an MRI. Update 2: Michael is stable enough to go down for MRI. The EEG is being removed now. He had to be sedated as he was starting to fight the breathing tube. Since he is having the MRI tonight the DR is hopeful we can start bringing down his sedation over night and remove the breathing tube tomorrow. He still will not respond to commands, but he makes it known he does not like having his eyes and nose examined. He is also offended at the number of blood draws they are doing today. Please pray he will continue to hold stable vitals, not have anymore seizures and starts gaining neurological function.
