Uplifting story of the day: We just had our baby shower. a friend brought their daughter and she was playing with our g/hg dd and our special needs guy was playing by himself. he went over and played with them for a bit then went back to play by himself. the little girl went to him said hi gave him a hug and started talking and playing with him. our hearts swelled and our ds eyes grew with excitement and delight!! our dd made sure the little girl treated him nicely (shes very protective) and was telling things about him and he was trying to talk also. (hes non verbal) we thought it was so awesome! trying to set up playdate as we almost had tears rolling down our faces. so thankful for parents that raise their kids to interact with kids that are different from them!! most kids just ignore him and breaks our hearts.
