Upon advice, I signed up to a scheme which I was assured was legal. Despite this, my knowledge of the dealings of the scheme were naive. Im not a tax expert and acted on advice I was given. This was a mistake and I accept the ruling without reservation. I take full responsibility and have learnt a valuable lesson. The words of Chris Moyles after getting caught out at tax avoidance - At what point did he think that claiming his income was from the used car business was in any way legal? Did he think that no-one at the HMRC listened to Radio Ones Breakfast Show? It looks as though naive is an synonym for greedy bastard!
