Upon further reflection, I wish to extend my sincere apologies to the group for my post last evening with respect to me needing to resend swap pattern emails to those that have lost the files. While I do really wish participants would save their files in a safe place, it was unkind of me to complain about the situation on here. In fact, I was having a frustrating night and the emails got the better of me. I should have just gone to bed. Many of you have been with me for years and you know it is not my nature to be unprofessional or disrespectful. If you were offended by my post, I hope you will accept my sincere apologies. Just to clarify a couple of things. When one pays for the swap, they are immediately sent to a page where they can download the patterns to their computer. Additionally, an email is automatically sent to the address they have on file with PayPal that contains another link for them to download the patterns. This is all explained in great detail on the swap info page, the thank you for registering page as well as in the email confirmation sent for the swap registration. I pay a fee for the system that does the file distribution and integration with PayPal. It is a secure system whereby every pattern that is distributed through it contains the purchasers name, email and invoice number stamped directly on every page. This is very important to me as the one responsible for distributing paid-for patterns to help protect the designerss copyright and discourage redistribution of the files illegally. We have over 300 participants in the swap and it is a lot of work to organize. I love organizing the swaps as it is rewarding to see the friendships that develop around the world. As Im sure you can imagine, if I had to resend the files to that many people, it would be impossible for me to get any of my paying work done and support myself. Anyway ... lets go quilt! Thanks for listening and again my apologies to those that were offended.
