Upon hearing the news of Pastor Andrae Crouchs passing last - TopicsExpress

Upon hearing the news of Pastor Andrae Crouchs passing last evening, my mind immediately ran on one my favorite songs of all time by him, Jesus is Lord. While watching the video below just now, this thought entered my mind: A person becomes legendary not by who they are but by what they have left behind for others to remember them by. This video shows exactly why Andrae Crouch is a legend. Singing in the video are two people (Marvin Winans and Karen Clark-Sheard) from two different musical groups that Andrae helped develop (the Winans and the Clark Sisters) singing a song he wrote almost 30 years ago while he is sitting back, enjoying the groove, and watching. No doubt in my mind that this is a humble moment for him to watch his mentees carry on his legacy. Andrae, in his commitment to Kingdom advancement and bringing glory to God, worked (co-labored 1 Corinthians 3:9) with God to cultivate and produce fruit from his gift of music in his generation that gave him the opportunity to reach the world for the Kingdom and afforded him at that moment the opportunity to sit and enjoy the fruit of his labor (Psalms 128:1-2). God made Andraes name great (legendary) in the earth as He did with Abraham (Genesis 12:2) and King David (2 Samuel 7:9) because of Andraes commitment to Him and his commitment to advancing the Kingdom. Now Andrae has fell on sleep as King David did because he served the purpose of God for his generation (Acts 13:36). With that being said, I dare any of you reading this to become legendary for the Kingdom. #Legend #HonoringThoseWhoWentBeforeUs #AreYouLegendMaterial https://youtube/watch?v=4nmDenvlV4o
