Upon our return home to Honolulu last Tuesday, Nena and I spent - TopicsExpress

Upon our return home to Honolulu last Tuesday, Nena and I spent the first 3 days in our downtown apartment to unpack our bags, distribute the different items we brought which were intended for different individuals, see my daughter Tessie and her three kids (Kyle, Elle, and Gianne), check our mailboxes, see my doctor, pay some bills, and buy needed grocery items. This Thursday evening we decided to visit our home in Ewa Beach, and spend the night. Ewa Beach is about 21 miles away from town, and is normally a 40-minute drive. During the morning and evening rush hours it could take an hour to drive the distance, and even more when there are vehicular accidents along the H-1 freeway. Except for my Friday afternoon appointment with my doctor in town, Nena and I will be staying in Ewa Beach most of the time from now on, just as what we used to do. I like living in Ewa Beach since it is a quiet neighborhood and we have plenty of space to move around at home ... not like our two-bedroom apartment which has very limited space. The front area of our home has enough space to park even four vehicles. Ewa Beach is just 15 minutes away from the town of Waipahu where there are shopping areas and many Filipino stores, groceries, and restaurants (Maxs Fried Chicken, Kambingan, Jollibee, etc.). Also nearby are Costco, Sams Club, WalMart, and other stores. Three Catholic churches are also nearby, as well as the Post Office. And we even are close to some nice beaches and picnic areas.
