Upper Woods Harbour Residents: Be aware that there is a large black bear in the area. My dog was acting crazy, running up and down the stairs with her nose in the air. The bear was just in my driveway into my garbage can. Artie saw the bags out on the ground and was walking down the lane to pick them up when he saw the black bear stand up on his hind legs to get into the garbage can. The bear took a bag of garbage in his mouth and started walking up the road. Lets just say that Arties walking speed increased a little tonight. Dept. of Natural Resources will be called as soon as their office opens on Tuesday morning.
