Upton Community Protection Camp is the most successful front-line UK anti-fracking camp to date. They have currently stopped *any* work happening on the site for nearly three months. And, to make things even more impressive, this has been accomplished with zero arrests. Some criticise the site as being a ‘holiday camp’ – anything could be further from the truth. We should be judging the worth of our tactics upon how successful they are, not upon how stressful or adrenaline producing they may be. Barely holding up any work with hundreds of arrests in the process is the sign of a failed tactic. Holding up work for months at a time with very few arrests is the sign of a successful tactic. A member of the Warrior’s Call is highly active on the site and also within the local Frack Free Dee coalition. He is one of the many pagans involved with the Warrior’s Call fighting against fracking up and down the country. In tribute to him – and to all you other little hidden warrior gems – here’s some photographs of the meditation space/shrine/temple he recently built on the front-line at Upton.
