Urban, suburban or rural homesteading involves skills that help your home become a Producer instead of a Consumer of resources. Think about it... the typical home demands constant input of money, energy and time to operate. So, most people leave their home all day to make money to pay for that homelife. What if, little by little, each year you learned a new skill or two that reversed that cycle. And one day, your home/yard produced much of your food, energy, entertainment and even water? This is the way of resiliency. One step at a time away from our dependence on fragile systems that can not be counted on to be there for us in the near future. And learning homesteading skills is sooooo empowering!
