Urbandale Senior Recreation Center to become a Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) location. This will be the first western metro location for seniors to receive assistance with Medicare related health insurance issues. The Senior Recreation Center has partnered with SHIIP for several years to bring annual assistance programs to the area and has witnessed the growing need to expand these programs. partnership will provide a location for seniors to call ahead and schedule an appointment with a SHIIP volunteer at the Urbandale Senior Recreation Center. The Parks and Recreation office and the Urbandale Community Action Network (UCAN) office would help schedule appointments.
