Urbanities: Call for Book Review and Film/Video Review Editors Urbanities the journal of the IUAES Commission on Urban Anthropology (CUA) seeks volunteers for the positions of Book Review Editor and Film/Video Review Editor to be appointed in the spring, of 2015. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the CUA and the promotion of anthropological and sociological research on urban life and culture. Please see the abbreviated job descriptions below. The Book Review Editor is also responsible for identifying potential reviewers and managing the submission process, including editing. Film/Video Review Editor Job Description The Film/Video Reviews Editor is responsible for identifying, soliciting, receiving, and distributing appropriate films or videos to be reviewed for publication in Urbanities. The Film/Video Reviews Editor is also responsible for identifying potential reviewers and managing the film/video review submission process, including editing. Qualifications The Book Review or Film/Video Review Editor is a member of the Commission on Urban Anthropology who is familiar with the field from an academic and scholarly perspective and is able to recruit reviewers. Experience with a peer-reviewed journal as a reviewer or editor is desirable. Institutional support is also important for possible postal, email, fax, and telephone expenses.
