Urgent Care of Cromwell, Conn., will offer flu shots for our residents on Oct. 1 and 8, 9-10:30 a.m. Flu season in the United States can begin as early as October and last as late as May. During this time, flu viruses are circulating in the population. An annual flu vaccine (either the flu shot or the nasal-spray flu vaccine) is the best way to reduce your chances of getting seasonal flu and spreading it to others. It is recommended that everyone 6 months of age and older get their yearly flu vaccine by October. When more people get vaccinated against the flu, fewer flu germs can spread throughout the community.
