Urgent Humanitarian Appeal Balochistan: Humanitarian Appeal for Earthquake Surviors Balochistan is currently facing its worst Earth-Quake, with about half a million people in urgent need of livelihood and humanitarian support. Based on United Nations human development indicators, Awaran is listed as the most underdevelopment district in Balochistan,Pakistan. With 0.2 million population, the district has long been ignored in socio-economic development. Moreover, the recent violent earthquake has shattered the life of entire population. Poorly constructed mud houses are raised to the ground and entire source of their livelihood has perished. The most vulnerable include women, children and households live under open skies, particularly those in Awaran and surrounding areas.
