Urgent Message! CCIMUN is a go. Due to the interest shown in todays club meeting we have enough chairs to lead a sizeable conference in April. Ineligibility If you are an executive (you hold a significant title in another club/committee) then you are ineligible to be a MUN Executive. Additionally, the position of Secretary General will be taken on by myself and Ms. Dunn. If you are an executive in another club you may still go out to compete at other conferences and chair. Find the Job Title Postings Ms. Dunn and I invite you to read the MUN Executive listings and descriptions in Ms Dunns Room or in mine (Room 130 or 131). By Wednesday, I will post them in the History/Geography/Social Science Wing by the lavatories. Interviews will begin next Tuesday at lunch. Please message Cassandra on Facebook to book a 10 min. interview. After that remaining positions will be offered to students who trusted and reliable. Emily, Dhanni, Nirthya, and Adrian suggested Fantasy/Historical Committees. League of Legends, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Punic Wars and Doctor Who will only run if background guides are composed by Friday December 12th. You must demonstrate not only passion for your literary based committee but the work ethic that must accompany. Final decisions will be made in next Mondays meeting and the work in building this conference will begin immediately. Recruit! Recruit! Recruit! We need more help for CCIMUN. UTMUN - For those interested in UTMUN please bring your money next Monday. As we would like to register you and then get your country assignments early as possible. Hopefully, Ms. Dunn and I can point you in the right research direction, provide relevant materials, and coach you prior to the December Break. By February to March most of the conferences will be in the $100 cost range. More affordable conferences will be SiMUN (Sinclair SS MUN in March) and BAMUN (Bishop Allen MUN). Why pay $100 for UTMUN? Name and Brand recognition are undeniable. Everyone in the debate circuit want an award from UTMUN or SOMA because it carries the UofT name, and it is a big conference of great talent.
