VijayRaghavan: Directly updating from Hike Research Fellowship group: Matter relating to the reply by MHRD officials against the RTI filled by Mr. Murli Mohan, IIT Madras Dear Friends, Maybe RTI question is posed in a manner that the answer is narrow and not illuminating. I do know that the MHRD and CSIR is dealing with this. I will discuss with the relevant people tomorrow so that you hear directly from them. I know that everyone is on board and you will hear from them. If I am not mistaken, the RTI question specifically relates to the IITs. It was (perhaps narrowly) interpreted to mean whether there is is any IIT-specific matter being considered or not. It does not mean that there is a not more general matter being considered. So rather that get worked up, please do stay calm, while I request that MHRD get back to you with a statement.
