Urgently Required Sr. Power Relay Technician for Saudi Aramco. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Power Relay Technician to join the Power Systems Department based in Saudi Arabia. Minimum Requirements As a successful candidate you must be fully conversant with the High Voltage Electrical Protection System and its components. You must be highly skilled in testing, commissioning and troubleshooting electromechanical, solid-state microprocessor relays and their associated components. A minimum of 11 years of experience is needed in testing, commissioning and troubleshooting feeder protection, transformer protection, motor protection, bus protection and line/distance protection relays is required. Additionally, you must have complete command of using/maintaining single- and three-phase digital test instruments and competency in reading schematic protection and control diagrams and single- and three-phase diagrams. You should be a team player, fluent in English language and must be able to train young/new employees. Duties and Responsibilities Install, test, adjust, calibrate, repair, and troubleshoot electrical power system protective solid-state, digital, microprocessor, and electromechanical type relays, control, alarm, metering, remote control and programmable logic controllers. Use standard, automated, computerized and special manufacturer’s test equipment for relay systems applications. Decide whether or not to disable or field modify applicable relays or portions thereof (voltage restraint elements, under-frequency load shedding or the like) during system emergencies and suspect inadvertent trip initiations. Make component repairs down to discreet component level. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on advanced relays and control/automation systems. Perform commissioning tests on new equipment, recommend final acceptance and list exception items, if any. Test integrity of the complete control schemes, including CT/PT inputs. Communicate with Relay/Automation Engineers to receive relay modification, setting, automation configuration or new installation data.
