Urgently looking for an HR Officer for Sandton based Telecoms giant (12 Month Contract) Salary R40K pm Duties: Supervise payroll administration. Ensure the organization’s training and development activities are planned to meet current and future organization and employee needs; Ensure that the HR function is administered in accordance with RSA labour and regulatory laws Increase organization effectiveness by performing organizational review and analysis and recommending programs and initiatives; Ensure of quality recruitment and selection in accordance with best practice Ensure effective performance management system is implemented and aligned with the Company’s needs; Take the role of facilitator in change management when needed be; Develop and maintain strong working relationship with major key stakeholders without “going native”; Actively participate in achieving a smooth and professional integration of the HR policies & practices, benefits etc. in South Africa; Skills and experience: Well developed understanding of HR Operations Good knowledge of RSA labour law relating to collective and individual levels (legislation- EEA, LRA, BCEA, BBBEE, OHSA, SDA, SDLA, Constitution, UIFA, COIDA, all codes of practice, and key precedent case law as well as experience in dispute resolution, individual labour law / employment law, Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive, motivate and work in a team and exercise independent judgment as well as see through things; Broad-based business skills and perspectives with demonstrated high-level problem-solving abilities; A team player with excellent planning, interpersonal and organizational skills, and ability to interact effectively with all levels within and outside the company; Experience in dispute resolution (mediations, arbitrations, representations at Bargaining Council and other legal tribunals) and internal disciplinary and work performance counseling mechanisms essential; Personal Attributes/Other Skills Requirement High integrity individual (strong EQ and maturity levels) with the ability to create innovative solutions (strong cognitive skills) in a challenging environment; Conscientious with willingness to work additional hours; able to multitask and operate in high workload / high pressurized environment essential/ (resilience) willingness to subordinate to company goals and interests; High energy level and organization skills (time keeping and prioritization); Able to skillfully handle industrial relations matter and effectively manage conflict (latent as well as high level group and interpersonal conflict) Display energy and persona able to drive change; Good business acumen knowledge and computer skills Innovative, able to listen and get customers’ needs and relate to reality Good interpersonal and communication skills Able to work independently and interact with people at all levels within and outside the company Positive outlook and personality, able to get things done Ability to gain the trust and respect of peers and supervisors Change management skills and previous expertise essential Project Management experience beneficial Knowledge of job analysis, job evaluation and compensation planning advantageous; Numeracy skills at Grade 12 level (Must have well developed numerical skills, i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios and percentages) Attention to detail; Excel skills at intermediate level essential – demonstrate ability to use Excel in analysing and managing critical data; Fluency in English both in terms of verbal and written communications; Ability to draft HR policy documents essential- able to demonstrate knowledge of best HR Practices in a South African context as well as ability to draft practical policies and work procedures that are compliant with South African legislation / ensure that Company is legally complaint and that staff and line managers adhere to processes; Recognized University degree, B Tech Degree or Three year National Diploma (NQF 5 with a concentration in Human Resource Related subjects (Human Resource Management III, Industrial relations, Organizational Psychology / Behaviour III, Strategic Human Resource Management, Labour Law I essential ); At least 3 years HR experience of which 1 in generalist role of which administration and record keeping were among key responsibilities, preferably in telecommunication industry; Please mail Cvs to carolinem@godisanang
