We offer excellent quality products and services at very affordable prices.” “Their company is one of the best in the market. They offer excellent quality products and services at very affordable prices.” They’re basically the same sentences with some minor changes in the pronouns. The first one obviously comes from the company while the second sentence is from a third party. But those changes aren’t minor at all. They make a big difference. The fact that another person is talking highly of a business is what makes the difference. Of course, in the field of business, everyone would say that they’re the best thing ever, but it’s not often that people would go out of their way to promote someone else’s business unless they really believe in it, or they’ve had good experience using their products or services. This is the reason why online testimonials are very important for your business. You can blabber all day long about how great your products and services are but it would still be more effective to convince customers when other fellow customers make that recommendation. Online testimonials from satisfied customers can achieve much for your business! These are a few simple guidelines: · Get rid of skepticism. When online customers search for products and services online, they’re quite skeptic. They’re always thinking that photographs lie or that most online stores are fraud. Having another customer say otherwise is usually enough to convince them. · Build trust. When customers begin to trust your company because of the satisfied feedback from other customers, you can enjoy better sales and more profits. Apart from the list of its wonderful benefits, there are other things that you should know about online testimonials. One important idea is how to choose the right comments to put on your website. · Put only real testimonials. Yes, it’s so easy to invent a testimonial, but remember that customers are a lot smarter than you think. Not only is it easy to distinguish real from fake, often, they try to get in touch with that customer too. If they find out that Jim Keith from New Jersey is imaginary, you’ll only ruin your business reputation. · Pick testimonials with concrete benefits. Look at the two below and find out which one is more effective: “This is a great weight loss product. I love it so much. I won’t hesitate to recommend it to my friends!” “I used this weight loss product and dropped seven pounds in two weeks! I also feel very light, energetic, and happy!” Of course, the second one is more effective because it offers direct and concrete benefits that other customers would want to enjoy too. · Make testimonials relatable. Your audience should be able to relate with the customer posting the testimonial. For example, if you’re selling vitamins for elderly customers, be sure to include their age on their posts. If you’re selling baby items to moms, include a photo of the mom with her kid/s. Don’t ignore the power of customer’s online testimonials.
