Used to seeing firefighters riding on big trucks? Thats about to change. From now on, Israeli firefighters will be riding motorcycles as well, as part of the Quick Response Team pilot program. The team will operate mainly on busy roads in central Israel, and currently consists of of 3 BMW 650 GS motorcycles, equipped with fire and rescue equipment. The first training course for the Quick Response Team will begin this month, and will include training for operational driving and training on the motorcycles specialized equipment, geared mainly for car accident rescues and car fires.
