Useless Information of the Day: I have long given up being a good wife and mother. It was a gradual decline. I was a Mom Bomb for a while. But I was exhausted, so I laid that burden down. Eventually, my family learned not to expect a hot meal for supper . . . or a cold one for lunch . . . or groceries in the house. (Except for milk. I usually have milk. Three kinds, even: skin, 2%, Barbers chocolate. I usually have bananas, too.) I cling to the laundry as my last vestige of Bomb-ness. I just dont mind doing the laundry. I dont even mind ironing. Rarely does the dirty laundry pile high at my house. It might not be put away, but it is usually clean. If you come to my house for a visit, please be careful not to topple the sticky cereal bowls stacked gracefully in the kitchen sink. Just come sit by me on the floor in the den and watch me fold undies and match socks like the aging, fizzling Bomb that I am.
