One is Egyptian Geranium and the other is South African Geranium. They both have a rose scent. 1. In perfumery, rose geranium is an inexpensive way to get the prized scent of roses. Often found in many many different perfumes especially for women. 2. Menopause sufferers love geranium essential oil as it soothes out the jagged edges of hormonal imbalances. Geranium is often blended with Clary Sage in a bath or spray to create a brilliant menopause blend to ease hot flashes, temper spikes, and anxiety. 3. For PMS symptoms especially anger or agitated feelings, rose geranium essential oil is great for soothing out emotions and creating calm. 4. Egyptian Geranium is used in treating Candida, a fungal disease, as geranium is an anti-fungal. Blend geranium in calendula maceration with tea tree use as body oil, bath, or in massage. 5. Brown patches on the face caused from fungus are erased with South African Geranium oil especially if blended with calendula maceration. 6. Oily skin and acne are treated with geranium essential oil and witch hazel when applied to the face. 7. Rose Geranium calms and relaxes. A few drops of geranium oil in a bath is especially soothing. 8. When faced with changes and loss, geranium inhaled can ease anxiety and allow feelings of support and courage.
