Using a cell phone for many while driving is dangerous, period. For instance, I was in traffic several years ago and just looked down at my phone on the floor of the truck and ran into the back of another car. I was only doing twenty miles per hour, but it happened just the same. Imagine if this had happened at fifty or sixty or seventy or even eighty. I wouldnt be here or seriously hurt, and may have hurt another in the bargain. I will never forget that day as long as I live. It is as if someone had stamped the event in my brain. Texting is really no different. It is just more prevalent now days and those who talk on these devices still do what they do, thinking they are infallible, but are no longer in the lime light because the cell phone industry has helped to change the thinking of the people who believe they can multitask when they really dont have the capacity to do so regardless of who they are, especially during certain events that can come up while behind the wheel where quick thinking is needed.
