Using eschatology as a way to excuse yourself from taking part in - TopicsExpress

Using eschatology as a way to excuse yourself from taking part in this culture and yes in politics, is not what Jesus commanded anyone to do. Daniel did not show due regard for the king (ref: Daniel 6) . No, instead he opened his upper room windows and he prayed aloud! Into the lions den he was sent, and saved he was! Meshach, Shadrach and Abed-Nego were all cast into a fiery furnace, and they were saved! Jesus called upon us to be salt and light, not just in our hearts and minds, but out in the world! (ref: Matthew 5:13-16) The book of James warns us against a faith without works, as being a DEAD faith! Yes of course, keep praying, but when you get up off your knees get your hands dirty! I was asked to attend this event but I just cant pull it off this time. I have attended another like it, here locally, and it was an amazing experience. My pastor, Rob McCoy and and Ken Graves from Maine are scheduled to give messages and speak encouragement to a large group of people, to engage our culture in acts of civic discipleship. You can be there! These men are blessed by God with the gifts of oratory which in turn regift Gods word right to the audience. I can guarantee a blessing to anyone who sits in front of them. I pray someone out there can do what I cant do this this time around. Someone else please this, since I cant. Please, all of you reading this, take a good look at it, go to the American Renewal page, talk to your pastors and others. Each period in American history when a revival occurred that changed the nation was preceded by a period of perceived doom and decline. If you are looking down a lot these days, consider looking UP again. TRY TO ATTEND THIS! https://youtube/watch?v=4bPD3uGxCcI
