Ut is said in the Valios line Marguerite expected to wed francois de guise and her btother Henri or francois hoped to wed Francoise de Foix but all around them then were scorned suitors or rejects really furiuos, their own cousins whod hopled ot gain power by faking love thier Balis cousins --------and evven super wealhy kids unrelaited like diane de poters pissed she wouldnt be queen........They then became Protestant informing the Valios it was wed the peoples choices or if not die.........And thus the two couples were made very odd couples....... Anne dEtamps heading the revolt within the Holy line simply infomed the future king she was his wife-------and Francois was given to some portestant who did want her..........Just as the Duc do Guise was assigned Annes best friend as wife and Margaruete given to a protstant who despised Catholics.........Now then it is said Francois died in the nuthouse but that the Duke de Guise after many years was able to see to it Margaruerite was released and provided for out of his funds to her death in a home on the left bank of Paris...........And yet depsite all this the facts are written so confusingly there is a slight possibility their was only one path to the trhone and the story of 2 couples is the stoy of one........
