Uthistha Bharata, Rise o Bharata Independence Day special Chak De India! The Arts “Painting is the best of all arts, conducive to dharma, pleasure, ircalih and emancipation. It gives the greatest pleasure. Vishnudharmottara, Ch. 43, Verse. 38. Markandeya said “Without knowledge of the art of dancing, the rules of painting are very difficult to be understood. Hence no work of (this) earth should be done even with the help of these two.” As Vajra asked the question “ Please speak to me about the art of dancing and the rules of painting you will tell me (afterwards) for the rules of the art of dancing imply (those of) the art of painting.” The greatest dancer is Siva. The question that Mukesh sang about the beauty of mother nature was “Yeh Kaun Chitrakar Hai? Yeh Kaun Chitrakaar!”. “Who is this divine painter?”. Painting and Dancing is a human expression to touch the divine. Markandeya continued “The practice of dancing is difficult to be understood by one who is not acquainted with music. Without music dancing cannot exist at all.” Without Music there is no dancing and hence no painting hence no creativity or shrishti. Music is Brahma, Dancing is Siva, Painting is Vishnu! Markandeya then describes the five main colors: “There are five principal colours, white (sveta), red (rakta), yellow (pita), black (krshna) and green (harit). Of course, It would be impossible to enumerate the mixed colours in this world (which are produced by) the mixture of two or three (primary colours) and through invention of various states or conditions (i.e., shades or tones).” With these many colors do God color the world. It is this manifold diversity and pluralism which is celebrated in अनेकान्तवाद or Anekāntavāda. Bapu Anekantavedanta! Anekantavedanta refers to the principles of pluralism and multiplicity of viewpoints, the notion that truth and reality are perceived differently from diverse points of view, and that no single point of view is the complete truth. This principle is more formally stated by observing that objects like colors are infinite in their qualities and modes of existence, so they cannot be completely grasped in all aspects and manifestations by finite human perception. Consequently, no single, specific, human view can claim to represent absolute truth. Anekāntavāda encourages its adherents to consider the views and beliefs of their rivals and opposing parties. Proponents of anekāntavāda apply this principle to religion and philosophy, reminding themselves that any religion or philosophy which clings too dogmatically to its own tenets, is committing an error based on its limited point of view. The principle of anekāntavāda is the one that influenced Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi to modify this philosophy and adopt principles of religious tolerance, ahiṃsā and satyagraha. He insisted that anekāntavāda is not simply about syncretisation or compromise between competing ideas, it is cooperatively about finding the hidden elements of shared truth between such ideas. Anekāntavāda is not about denying the truth; rather truth is acknowledged as an ultimate spiritual goal. It is insisted on. सत्याग्रह Anekāntavāda also does not mean compromising or diluting ones own values and principles. On the contrary, it allows us to understand and be tolerant of conflicting and opposing views, अहिंसा while respectfully maintaining the validity of ones own view-point. सत्याग्रह अहिंसा and सत्याग्रह, the tools the sculptor then used to carve the image of Independent India. Teen rang thhe, ek Chakra thhaa Ek khwaab thha, charkhe pe buna Three colors The Dharmaraja should be painted with white indicating dharma with white clothes and of white color. In his right hand is the rosary (Kala chakra) and in left the book (Agama Veda). On his right would reside daughters Vyavasyaa or श्लीष्टि Shilsti(Adherence) and left सुस्थता Susthataa(Happiness). Adherence to Dharma leads to Happiness. On His field of white would reside the Dharmachakra, KalaChakra, Janna Chakra, as Krishna protects Dharmaraja himself. Vrkodara should have the mixed colors of Red and Gold with Clear Sky of Pavana, his father, we get Saffron. And Arjuna being Nara should represented and colored with color of “Durva” grass or Green. So appropriate that the Durva colored Arjuna was played by Firoz Khan & Shaheer Sheikh!
