Utility Work will affect Traffic on Cimarron and Yorktown Boulevards The City of Corpus Christi Traffic Engineering division advises residents beginning Tuesday, January 21 through Friday, January 24, 2014, weather permitting; AEP contractors will change electrical transformers at Cimarron and Yorktown Boulevards. During the work, the following temporary traffic control plans will be implemented: January 21 and January 22: Northbound Yorktown Boulevard traffic will be reduced to one lane through the Cimarron Boulevard intersection and westbound Cimarron Boulevard will be reduced to one lane through the Yorktown Boulevard intersection. January 23 and January 24: Westbound Cimarron Boulevard traffic at the intersection of Cimarron Boulevard and Grenoble Drive will be shifted onto the eastbound lanes and traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Traffic control devices will guide motorists through the construction site. Motorists should expect delays and if possible seek alternate routes or avoid the area. Access to local driveways will be maintained throughout the duration of the project.
