Utilizing social networking to provide monetary supplementation is more than just spamming your project/inventory in hopes that some lonely fish will seize the opportunity to throw their money at you. Social marketing is based around a relational orientation of advertising - providing a product through your set of skills or through your connections and outreach that people can feel they can trust. It isnt always necessarily about hooking someone up with a solid product - but more so making them feel like they can trust you for the product you are providing. So bands and artists alike, think about that before sending eight hundred and fifty thousand messages to your friends on Facebook. Take the time to personalize and tailor a conversation to that particular persons taste. If you want to increase your per-capita sales, you must turn your attempts into endeavors, then take those endeavors and evolve them into relationships. Im out.
