Utsav Priyaa: Janaa: ...we all are lovers of festivals..actually, we all love to be a part of festival or to be in a festive mood. This your also I enjoyed being with TV 9 on the occasion of Rathyaatraa, LIVE. As a broadcaster, I had few opportunities to go on AIR on such occasions. It is challenging as well as thrilling and satisfying also. But, I have seen people totally engrossed in the celebrations on such occasions. . Be it a VIP or a common man. What makes us so desperate..? I do remember a year when Rath Yaatraa was not allowed and the tempo and tension prevailed in the city ! People want to be a part of the crowd. We want to forget our pains, tensions for some time and be with the mass.Thus , we feel protected from our worries. We know that this is an escapism..worries will remain the same..but, being in the crowd, we feel as if our worries have been distributed among all..and thus, it will not harm us. Public celebrations of festivals or other occasions, make you feel so. You feel protected as well as brave in the crowd ! It is an illusion, but it strengthens us temporarily. I saw people trying to have a glimpse of Jagannaathji..and for that, they were happily experiencing all the troubles. They were being pushed..but still trying to be at the place to see and show the Almighty to their family members. Now with the changing years we have a LIVE telecast facility so there are less numbers on roads, but even than, they were sufficient enough to create a thick crowd . They all have faith of various degree and some of them must be having a general anxiousness only. But, they all forget their personal lives for the time being. . . be it a power of FAITH or being a part of the crowd ! From tomorrow, life will be the same..but they will talk about the experience for few days and try and forget the problems..then will come some other festivals..and life will move on..
