Uttoxeter Leisure Centre Redevelopment Weekly Update: Real - TopicsExpress

Uttoxeter Leisure Centre Redevelopment Weekly Update: Real progress was visible this week as the redevelopment project for Uttoxeter Leisure Centre continues at pace. Block work both internally and externally continues to be the focus of the labour; however the next stages of applying plaster finishes to the walls are beginning to take shape. The pool tank continues to have tiles fitted, which has totally transformed the brand new Adam Peaty Pool Hall with its iconic space design. This area of the building will now see further efforts focused on construction of the poolside spectator area and first aid room. Looking ahead the village changing room area is approaching the time for tiling to begin, as installation of services and building controls also continues across the building. Site Manager Steve had the following update: We have seen progress made this week on aspects of block work and also service installation, this continues over the next few weeks. “In addition to this the tile installation in the pool tank has neared completion, and this room will see a big change in the next few weeks as the spectator area is created. The various areas of the new building are now clearly distinguishable, and it has been nice to show the leisure centre staff around the new site over the last two weeks. Next week will see the beginning of tile application in the changing room area, and also further work completed on the rear access ramp. The project continues to run to plan and we look forward to bringing you further updates and pictures next week. Check out the latest pictures of the project.
