Uttoxeter Leisure Centre Redevelopment Weekly Update: The project contractor team were able to make full use of the recent spell of good weather as the ground work preparation continued this week. As the steel work over the pool hall was completed there have been various foundations laid ready for phase two of the framework installation, which will begin in the next few weeks. This will really begin to give the new building some shape and will mark the approach of base brick work installation which starts soon. Site Manager Steve had the following update: “This week has seen the continuation of the ground works along with the completion of the steel frame for the swimming pool hall. Next week will see the commencement of phase two of the steel frame, which will see the start of the link building forming. Ground works will continue into next week, the steel framework of the pool hall structure will be sprayed, and brick work will commence”.
