Uttoxeter Leisure Centre Redevelopment Weekly Update: Work has continued at pace this week on many aspects of the project, which has included progress on internal and external parts to the new centre. Block work has continued to help create more of the internal rooms, as well as brick work on the external wrap to the building. From an elevated position the picture shows the layout of much of the new link building. Work has also begun to remove the slab that surrounds the pool tank, which will be made ready for the new tiles and surrounding area. Finally efforts have continued on the roof of the new link building which will soon be finished, as well as window frames for the new pool hall which have been installed. Site Manager Steve had the following update: There has been a variety of works this week that have focused on plenty of different parts to the new centre. We have seen good progress with the internal block work to create more and more of the individual rooms, and it is now possible to see lots of the different parts to this bit of the centre. Work is continuing on the link building roof as that nears completion, and we will soon begin the cladding process to this part of the building. We have also started to remove the slab that surrounds the pool tank which will be made ready for the new tiles and finishes.
