Uttoxeter Leisure Centre Redevelopment Weekly Update: Work this week has focused on laying the first parts of the concrete slab within the link building, along with continued installation of the link building roof. The pool tank has had nearly all of its tiles removed and we look forward to internal block work beginning soon to start to reveal the different rooms. Site Manager Steve had the following update: The main focus this week has been to install the roofing on the link building, which has gone well and the first layer is near completion. This will continue into next week as other layers are added and it is made air tight.” The first parts of the concrete base slab have also been completed this week which will allow for internal block work to begin and for the rooms to really begin to take shape. Next week will see the remainder of the slab put down and block work begin at pace. The pool tank has also had the majority of its tiles now removed, with the last bit to include the drainage channel blocks, which will be replaced for the new pool.
