VACANCY - EC&I ENGINEER - CIRCA £72,000 PER ANNUM - READING This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Cre8Staff Recruitment who is operating as an employment business. EC&I Engineer required for our specialist Nuclear, Oil and Gas engineering company based in Berkshire on a permanent staff basis. Our client is a specialist Nuclear, Oil and Gas engineering company, delivering integrated instrumentation and engineered solutions to the gas utilities, industrial process and environmental industries. They have developed a portfolio of thoroughly engineered solutions and gained invaluable experience with a proven track record of safe and successful project delivery, from the design and supply of small bespoke systems through to major multi-site CDM managed contracts. The successful candidate will form part of an established design team supporting the delivery of our project portfolio. Occasional visits to client sites and premises will be required to undertake site surveyors, take part in meeting and support our installation teams. Key Activities: The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Taking ownership of a C&I project design package and translating the User Requirements Specification into to a Functional Design Specification. Producing a Conceptual Design document and taking this through to detailed design, data sheets and manufacturing support information. Producing the Factory test documentation, installation support information and commissioning documentation. Liaising with other disciplines such as Electrical, Mechanical, Software and CAD in respect to interface design. Attending meeting with the client for design reviews and progress updates. To be successful in consideration as EC&I Engineer you must have: ESSENTIAL SKILLS: You must possess a minimum of HNC/ HND in an engineering or associated discipline and have knowledge and experience of the design life cycle of a project. You must have experience working in a structured design engineering environment. DESIRED SKILLS: Previous experience producing C&I designs for hazardous area applications would be desirable although we would consider applications from individuals who have a working knowledge of ATEX regulations. Experience within the oil & gas industry and analysis equipment would be desirable.
