MULTITECH BUSINESS SCHOOL (MBS) seeks to recruit and fill the following positions; Position: Principal Reports to: Governing Council/ Chairman Founders board Role: the role of the office of the Principal is to provide quality services to MBS through the Governing Council, provide strategic leadership to senior management team, deans of faculty/ Units and Heads of department. These services include academic leadership, strategic planning, personnel management, student Welfare, and Organizational management. Implementation and review of administrative process, policy development and compliance, legislative awareness and compliance, the provision of management information and reporting and executive support. Roles and Responsibilities: i) Take the overall leadership and management of the academic and administrative affairs of the school in line with the school mission, Vision and objectives ii) Initiate, mobilize and coordinate of strategic planning processes of the school in line with the school mandate, Vision and mission. iii) Coordinate the overall accountability to meet the school’s statutory obligations in line with the NCHE and National Education policy. iv) Review and coordinate the activities of the various components of the school in line with school’s strategic and operational plans v) Manage of external relations of the school at the senior management level in line with the school’s communication policy and procedure vi) Coordinate and facilitate the activities of the Governing council and its standing and adhoc committees in line with school governance framework. vii) Review, provide advice and oversee the implementation of school policies and procedures in line with the school manuals. viii) Initiate, develop and grow the school’s mandate of learning and teaching, research and private partnerships in line with schools mission and strategic plan. Job requirements Qualifications required: i) A PhD in a Business related field of study (Professorship is an added advantage) ii) Computer Literate Experience required: i) Possesses a minimum of five years relevant experience in an Institution of Higher learning at a minimum of dean’s level or its equivalent. ii) Should be above 40 years Key competencies required Candidates for this position should demonstrate a basic grasp of the following competencies. • Knowledge and experience in Curriculum development • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills • Knowledge of the National Education policy and NHCE guideline • Good leadership and peoples management skills • Coordination and networking skills • Ability to work with minimum supervision • High Integrity, trust and reputation Position: Projects officer (1 position) Reports to: Consultancy and capacity development Manager Role summary: To provide consultancy and projects management support in the office of consultancy and capacity development. Roles and responsibilities i) Identify viable business interests and develop project proposals that are responsive to specific project targets ii) Provide support in management and coordination of project assignments iii) Skills in conducting baseline surveys iv) Identify and conduct capacity needs assessments for multi-sectorial organizations and submit a report to your supervisor for further action. v) Develop and deliver capacity development programmes for the different clients in line with the capacity development plan. vi) Participate in the development of annual capacity development plan in line with the needs assessment reports for the different clients in line with the departmental objectives. vii) Follow-up proposals and secure business viii) Conduct market research and identify consultancy and Capacity Development opportunities in the region; ix) Assist to build the capacity of internal staff to participate in consultancy engagements x) Represent the school at high level forums to discuss opportunities for Business xi) Any other role that maybe assigned to you by management from time to time. Job requirements Minimum qualifications; • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business Administration and management • A training in project design and management is an added advantage Experience required; • At least 2 years’ experience in proposal writing, training, capacity needs assessments and baseline surveys in a reputable organization. Key competencies required; • Networking skills • Excellent Analytical skills • Command of the English language in reading and writing skills • Practical skill in managing projects • Research skills • Interpersonal communication and organizational skills Position: School Secretary Reporting to : Principal Roles and responsibilities i. To provide professional leadership and guidance in the delivery of management, legal, administrative support services in line with the school’s governance framework. ii. To provide professional advice on and interpretation of the implementation of Governing Council policies and decisions. iii. To be the accounting officer responsible for all revenue and expenditure of the school. iv. To monitor the implementation of Governing Council decisions and policies. v. To monitor and track the utilization of capital and operational expenditure against approved school’s plans and budget. vi. To coordinate the procurement of goods and services and ensuring that all contractual obligations are fulfilled in accordance with Procurement Act. vii. To ensure that secretarial services are provided to the Governing Council and its committees. viii. To perform any other duties that may be assigned by Governing Council or Management from time to time. Job requirements Qualifications required; Should have at least a Master’s degree in any business related field. A postgraduate diploma legal practice. Training in general management will be an advantage. Experience required; Should have at least 5 years’ experience in administration of a reputable institution at a senior level. Key competencies required; i. Should have strong leadership, effective interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills. ii. computer literacy is essential. iii. Should have unquestionable integrity. iv. Should have good managerial skills. Position: Associate Professor (2 Positions: 1 in Business Management and 1 position in IT) Report to: The relevant Head of department Role summary: To contribute to academic initiatives in the areas of mentoring, teaching, learning research and networking. Job requirements: Qualifications required; • PhD in area of specialization Experience required: • Atleast eight (8) years of teaching in an institution of higher learning • Atleast six (4) recognized publications (some/all should be refereed)in the area of specialization within 5 years preceding appointment • Successful supervision of atleast five (5) graduate students.
