VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT Education Development Center, Inc (EDC) is recruiting 6 Data Collectors (Rwandan Nationals) for its ECD program. “The Early Childhood Care-giver Professional Development and Certification Program is supported by Innovation for Education (IfE); a partnership between the Governments of Rwanda and the UK” and implemented by Education Development Center, Inc. The Program will train Rwandan school dropout girls and young women who have completed 9 years of Basic Education to become certified ECD caregivers in disadvantaged communities and thereby give opportunities for young children to acquire the pre-school learning skills they need to thrive in school. The project is targeting 200 caregivers over a period of 22 months. The data collectors will work under the M&E Specialist to conduct a baseline assessment throughout 10 ECD centers located in the districts of Gasabo, Kamonyi, Musanze and Burera. The assessment will last for a maximum period of 10 days. Qualifications And Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree (or post high school education) in psychology, education or related field • Minimum of one year experience teaching primary school or working as caregiver in ECD centers Strong communication skills • Experience in data collection and conducting surveys • Relevant experience in facilitation skills and ability to use quick participatory research tools Applications for the above position must nclude the following documents : • Motivation letter • Résumé including full name, address and telephone number for 3 professional references.
