VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT Friends Foundation (FF) Pakistan is national relief and development organization working to alleviate the suffering among the poorest and most needy communities regardless of race, creed or nationality. FF is implementing WASH Project in Bannu. We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled development professional to fill in the following positions for its Bannu based 3months emergency WASH project. S/N Positions Total Post Location Eligibility Criteria 1 Project Manager 1 Bannu University degree in Social Sciences/MBA or a related technical field. Five to seven years progressively responsible professional work experience at the national and international levels in program planning, management and Implementation. Job Description: • Project Implementation, Community Mobilization and Development (Capacity building, participatory planning and implementation of WASH Project). • Resource Mobilization including Donor Funding & Liaison with all stake holders • Executive Support to Manager Programs (where required) • Develops each component of the project in line with regards to WASH Project thematic areas and objectives. • Manage the over all implementation of the project • Social mobilization and Service Delivery regarding Process of the Project. • Coordinates the training of community/village-based committees in need/problem identification, defining of development objectives and formulation of WASH Project objectives. • Over see project document, project reports, project work plans and project budgets. • Frames project funding proposals in line with the specific documentation and other requirements of donor agency. 2 Field Engineer Cum M&E Officer 1 Bannu Bsc Civil Engineering/B.tech Civil- At least 4-5 years of proven experience in field/civil work. Experience of one or more M&E techniques of construction work. Job Description: • Guide and oversee the implementation of the project’s ME systems and requirements; • Ensure consistency in the objectives and indicators in the project. • Prepare and monitor the program’s Performance Monitoring Plan (PMP); • Spearhead and coordinate the development of Monitoring reports for the donor, as well as other required reports; • Responsible for civil work in the project. • Responsible for quantity and quality of material. • Monitor the project according to the BOQ and drawing and provide executive support to the sub engineers regarding BOQ and civil work. • Verify the Muster rolls of skilled , unskilled labors • Responsible for the training of skilled, unskilled labors and training of sub engineers. • Coordinate and ensure timely and quality Reporting: • Respond to ad-hoc requests from the donor for additional information • Work closely with WASH Team to design M&E plans for activities;; • Provide ongoing MER mentoring support for project. • Visit periodically to assess the ME systems and verify data; • Work with the Hygiene and service delivery to develop project success stories; • Abide by the rules & regulations of Friends Foundation and time to time changes made in the constitution or policies. • Ensure that the rules and regulations of Friends Foundation are being followed in its true spirit in Bannu. • Support / assist all junior and senior levels in preparations of progress reports of organization/Projects. • Any other special assignment given by the Senior Management 3 Logistic & Procurement Officer 1 Bannu Master degree with 3 years experience of logistic and procurement work in NGO sector Job Description: • Will be responsible for procurements by applying procurement rules and regulations of FF and Concern Worldwide. • Will be responsible to arrange transportation for staff travels. • Will be responsible to arrangement boarding and lodging for out city staff travels. o Will be responsible to check warehouse items. • Manage the all procured materials and safety of the material • Assist in the mobilization of project inputs. • Maintain the Log books and rented and office van in running position • Perform other duties and functions as entrusted from time to time. 4 Hygiene Promoters (6 male & 3 female) 9 Bannu Master / Bachelor’s Degree with 1-2 year Experience in social mobilization/ Hygiene Promotion. Local candidates will be preferred. Job Description: • Gather data during needs assessments, baseline studies, and periodic studies, and help feed back findings to stakeholders. • Help plan activities to reduce WASH-related risks. • Record data on routine activities and WASH conditions and forward it to the Hygiene Promoters. • Liaise with community leaders and other sectors and agencies working locally. • Help identify key hygiene practices to be addressed and carry out appropriate activities to promote safe practices: • Communication activities such as community meetings, Hygiene Sessions, and use of educational materials etc. • Establish WASH Committees and identify the beneficiaries. • Verify the identified beneficiaries and prepare final list for Hygiene Kit, Hand Pump and latrines. • Mobilize Disaster-affected communities as appropriate. • Act as the link between the WASH response and the affected population at community level. 5 Admin/Finance Officer 1 Bannu MBA Finance/B related degree with 3-4 Year relevant Experience in NGO Sector Job Description: • Maintain the Chart of Accounts, All Ledger Accounts, Petty Cash/Imprested Account. • Prepare General Journal Vouchers, Cash Payment Vouchers, Bank Payment Vouchers and other Payment and Receipts Vouchers. • Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements. • Over See monthly assessments and forecast of the project financial performance against Project Budget, financial and operational goals. • Prepare monthly Pay roll and deductions of WASH Project staff including salaries tax deduction at source. • Prepare monthly pay roll and deductions including salaries tax deductions at source. • Supervise and effect tax deposit on purchase of goods and services in accordance with taxation rules and regulations. • Prepare Financial Statements; Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, Income Statements, Cash Flow Statement and other comparative financial statements. • Assist in the preparation of revenue and expense statements. 6 Sub Engineer 3 Bannu Diploma in Civil Engineering, 3 years relevant experience with NGO/INGO. Local candidates of Bannu will be preferred Job Description: • Responsible for need identification of suitable water supply intervention in the Project area of Bannu • Technical survey of the water supply interventions. • Preparation of BOQ and Cost Estimates of all interventions. • Preparation of the tender documents for the Bids. • Preparation of feasibility Designs, and drawings etc. • Monitor the materials and equipment together with Sub-Engineers • Supervision of Assembly of Technical and Other Inputs at Project Site. • Together with WASH Team social mobilization Unit finalization of social and technical feasibilities of the WASH Projects and facilitate the formation process of various community based committees. • Drafting of Terms of Partnership (TOP) for FF. • Responsible for verification of the work in progress and report progress on weekly/monthly basis. • Overall record keeping and documentation of the all water supply interventions. • Perform other duties and functions as entrusted from time to time. 7 Store Keeper 1 Bannu Graduate with experience of stock Handling. Job Description: • will be responsible for keeping the Ware House with the rules and regulations of FF and Concern Worldwide. • Will be are responsible to prepare the documentation regarding Ware House. Responsible to facilitate the staff in the smooth operationalization of the project with regard to the ware house. • Responsible to check warehouse items and responsible for Issue and taking the ware house items. • Manage the all procured materials and safety of the material • Assist in the mobilization of project inputs. • Perform other duties and functions as entrusted from time to time. 8 Documentation preparation assistant at field level(Female) 1 Bannu Graduate with experience of computer and typing skills. Local candidate will be preferred. Job Description: • Under take data cleaning and File preparations of WASH project • Assist with documentation tasks as required soft or hard (for example, scanning documents and photographs, creating project visibility) • Experience of working with databases • You will be responsible for Token and muster roll arrangement • Experience of using Excel sheet and Data entry of beneficiaries • Experience of using digital cameras and resizing digital images • Very good general IT skills and a proven ability to learn new applications. • You must Ability to work with others, Ability to work alone • Providing support, help to project Manager in trainings, meetings and any other tasks appropriate to the grade as directed by the Project Manager 8 Office Attendant 1 Bannu Middle with relevant experience. Job Description: • Clean up offices, deliver mails and other correspondences • Operate duplicating and photocopying machines and paper cutter • Prepare and serve tea and run errands • Recording all incoming mails and dispatching out going correspondences 9 Security Guard 4 Bannu Retired from the armed forces/ Registered with security company with weapon./Local candidates having weapon and license and similar working experience Job Description: • Responsible for the safety and security of project assets • Responsible to monitor all the illegal activities near the project office • Responsible to maintain the In Out register • Responsible for the security of warehouse • 12 hours duty time for the guard FF is equal opportunity employers.
