VACANCY Redwood Aquatics is a family business dedicated to the importation and breeding of tropical fish, goldfish & plants. We are the only retailer who has a licensed quarantine import facility in the South Island, giving us a market edge. Due to growth within our business we have a full time position (incl weekend work) available in our busy retail showroom. There is always plenty of variety and you would be expected to learn all areas of our business from providing excellent customer service and retail sales, to processing inwards stock, maintenance within our facility and quarantine procedures. We would expect applicants to have sound existing knowledge of fish-keeping and be experienced fish-keepers themselves. Minimum requirements would be good knowledge of fish identification, you will already know how to keep and maintain an aquarium, basic knowledge of chemistry an advantage. Applicants to be enthusiastic, motivated, work well in a small team and some heavy lifting will be required. Full driver’s license required.
