VACANCY: TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST, CBE, Pretoria The Council for the Built Environment, located in Nieuw Muckleneuk, Pretoria, has the following fixed term position available for immediate appointment: TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST Purpose: To ensure successful delivery of the CBE Candidacy programme nationally. Key Responsibilities: Guided by and reporting to the Skills Development Practitioner, the incumbent will be expected to perform the following: ●Manage Panel of Experts and Mentors involved in Structured Candidacy ●Assisting Mentors in conducting formative assessments Assess and address the varied needs of each Candidate and Intern ● Work with Built Environment Professional Council (BEPC) Assessors to develop assessment guidelines and tools ● Develop industry links for Workplace training in collaboration with built environment stakeholders ● In partnership with relevant Universities of Technology fulfill work integrated learning programme requirements ● Coordinate the placement and redeployment of Candidates with host employers and workplace training hosts respectively. Requirements and Competencies: BSc/BEng Civil/BSc Construction Management / relevant built environment qualification ● 10 years experience in the built environment ● professional registration ● experience in coaching and mentoring of disadvantaged learners and unemployed learners professionals ● experience in monitoring and reporting ● project management ● proficiency in MS Suite. Applicants must be able to demonstrate flexibility; be deadline orientated and self motivated. The duration of the contract is 24 months.
