VASHTISM At the peak of feasting in the royal house,seven Chamberlains of king Ahasuerus walked in and chorused to the queen: “your majesty,his Highness would like to have you come and unveil your beauty before his entire guest in his court, silence sliced through the room filled with creamy women of the kingdom.In one quiet moment,Vashti had the singular opportunity to honour the king before all other women by one stroke on submission,but she chose to decline the kings request.As a fallout of such defiance,Memucan,one of the kings wise men said let the king give her royal ESTATE unto another that is better than she.(Est 1:19) Whatever position you are today,there is someone out there better than you,willing to take up your job,position and even marriage, without short notice.Vashti was a queen by grace and not by her beauty.unknown to her was the presence of Esther in her kingdom,with more beauty and character to occupy her office.It seems to me that there are people whose destiny is to occupy others that would be careless with theirs. King Saul,Esau,and Judas were witnesses of this possibilities.Its true that we were predestined to occupy certain position in Gods earthly agenda,but if we live our lives with impunity to the leading of the Spirit,we might become casualty of our decision.God will find replacement! Some people have walked away from the partner God destined for them and others have been careless with theirs.Some have destroyed the relationships that God designed to lift them.Others have despised Gods instructions.The position that has your name on it can be given to another. Peter said concerning Judas: “his office let another person occupy it.Dont be careless with the treasure that God gave you.The feelings that one is irreplaceable and as such act with impunity to constituted authourity is what I call “Vashtism”. The consequence of this is always regrettable.Nobody will sit in your position in Jesus name. Scent of Water®
