VENTING... I swear our folk are our own worst enemy!!! I encourage my lil lady to embrace her skin tone, hair texture AND all of Gods goodness she inherited from our race while becoming the best HER she can be. To get her interested in playing an instrument, I brought her a Pink flute when she was in elementary... she loved da color, then feel in love with playing the instrument. WELL, today she told me her music instructor informed her he hate colorful instruments AND as she get older an play for broader audiences, white people will single her out and make fun of the negro playing a PINK flute!!! I am BEYOND disgusted that someone who is in a position to encourage goodness from our youth is spewing nonsense to a young person who ONLY want to love & be loved while becoming the best HER she can be!! #Sometime #WeAreOurOwnInjustice
