VERY IMPORTANT: I am making another appeal for the sweet lady that I know that will no longer have a place to stay come September- 3 days! We have been looking at rental places all day, and have some good prospects! Tons of phone calls have been made by us to potential landlords. Together, with the money she will have, money donated by PERM and 4 other donators (including myself and my husband), we have enough money for her rent for September! However, at every single apartment that we have called and/or looked at, a months deposit is required for rent! In addition, there are the deposits that are needed for utilities at all these places! The average rental price that we are finding is around $450.00 approx. Therefore, we still need $450.00 for the rental deposit and some more (dont know how much exactly- maybe $150.00?) for deposits on utilities. I would approximate the current total need to be at around $600.00. Again, I have never helped anyone look for a place to live! However, if you all could meet this lady and understand her circumstances and see what a kind soul she is, you would understand why I am backing her 100% on her ultimately finding and being able to afford a place to live. As I mentioned in a previous post, after September her check will go up and she can absolutely afford rent and utilities from October on! This is a dire need as of right now! I am not going to have this kind lady sleeping under a bridge on Sept. 1! Can we please all band together to help!? We are in dire straits!
